Tandem Studio creates architectural visualizations with an illustrator’s eye—where buildings are shaped by landscape, light, and environment.

About Tandem Studio

Tandem Studio is a visualization and design studio based in Western Colorado, specializing in architectural renderings, landscape visualization, and spatial design support for construction professionals and private clients.

At its core, the studio approaches visualization as a form of applied illustration—where artistic composition, environmental sensitivity, and technical understanding come together to support real-world projects.

An Illustrator’s Approach to Architecture

Founded by a Belgian-trained illustrator, Tandem Studio is shaped by a background in art history, academic training, and years of practice across both analog and digital mediums.

This artistic foundation is combined with over a decade of commercial experience, developing a strong ability to understand client needs, translate intentions, and communicate ideas clearly.

Rather than treating buildings as isolated objects, each project is approached as a place within a landscape—where terrain, vegetation, light, and materials are considered with equal importance.

Rooted in Colorado, Inspired by the Landscape

Since its establishment in Colorado, Tandem Studio has developed a strong focus on the environments of the American West.

Through travel and outdoor exploration, each landscape is observed, analyzed, and internalized—building a mental library of vegetation, mineral textures, and spatial compositions.

This deep familiarity with Western landscapes allows each visualization to feel grounded, accurate, and connected to its surroundings.
The studio provides architectural visualization services across Grand Junction, Fruita, and the Western Colorado region.

From Vision to Visual Clarity

Tandem Studio supports a wide range of projects, from residential homes to larger developments and community spaces.

Visualization services include:

  • Exterior and architectural renderings

  • Interior renderings

  • Site planning and development visualizations

  • Community and public space imagery

In addition, Tandem Studio offers design services focused on:

  • Landscape design

  • Remodeling design for homeowners

Each project follows a visual-first approach—transforming ideas into clear imagery that supports both decision-making and communication throughout the design process.

A Collaborative and Adaptive Process

Every project is approached with flexibility, adapting to the needs of builders, architects, designers, developers, and private clients.

Tandem Studio combines:

  • custom 3D modeling

  • high-quality material and asset libraries

  • advanced rendering tools

  • and a controlled use of emerging technologies

to deliver visuals that balance realism, atmosphere, and clarity.

Looking Forward

Tandem Studio’s vision is to expand its expertise in environment-driven visualization across the Western United States.

By growing a collaborative team and continuing to explore diverse landscapes, the studio aims to create visual work that reflects both the identity of each project and the character of its environment.

A Belgian Foundation, A Colorado Studio

Founded by François Crucifix and Ludivine Gérard, Tandem Studio carries a European heritage rooted in Belgium’s Walloon region, combined with a deep connection to the landscapes of Western Colorado.

François’ path began in the Ardennes, where an early interest in drawing and observation led to exploring watercolor, illustration, comics, and later 3D design—always driven by curiosity and experimentation.

At Tandem Studio, this artistic background is paired with a strong sense of craftsmanship and a collaborative, family-oriented approach. Each project is developed with care, clarity, and respect for both the client’s vision and the environment it belongs to.

Today, the studio works with clients across the United States and Europe, creating visualizations that bridge design, landscape, and atmosphere—where European roots meet the scale and character of the American West.
