Metro Station Rendering Architectural Visualization for Public Transportation & Public Art
Originally created in 2022 and revisited in 2026, this series of architectural visualizations explores the future Metro Parc Station for STIB in Brussels. The project demonstrates how visualization can communicate not only architecture, but also the passenger experience, circulation, lighting, and the integration of public art within a major transportation hub.
A defining feature of the station is its permanent maritime art installation. Large-format photographic compositions are printed directly onto ceramic tile panels throughout the concourse, while a monumental mosaic map of the world's seas is embedded into the station floor, transforming wayfinding into an immersive public artwork.
The 2026 update takes advantage of modern rendering techniques with improved materials, lighting, atmospheric effects, and post-production while preserving the original architectural design. The result is a more immersive representation of the station and its relationship between infrastructure, art, and everyday urban life.
