This kitchen project was all about balance—between generations, styles, and practicality. Tasked with modernizing the heart of a 30-year-old European home, I worked closely with a family of residents to create a functional and inviting kitchen and dining space, all without structural modifications.

The goal: bring a fresh, transitional look to the home while respecting its existing layout. Using modular IKEA cabinetry and components, I designed a layout that was both self-buildable and tailored to the family’s daily needs. The design process involved harmonizing the preferences of multiple residents into one cohesive plan, resulting in a bright and ergonomic space that supports cooking, gathering, and day-to-day life.

By focusing on thoughtful spatial planning and accessible design choices, this project shows how even a modest renovation—done with care—can completely transform a home’s atmosphere and functionality.
